Statistical Data OPD
Average patients per month attending the OPD are approximately 40000. Thus the patients seen per day range between 1300 to 1400. Similarly the average numbers of patients per month treated in Casualty are around 10,000. Which on the average per day come to around 330 approximately. The total number of indoor patients per annum treated were 66244 (1999 fig.) thus coming to an average number of indoor patients per month 5520 and per day 184.
Due to influx of Afghan Refugees after the Afghan war the rush on the hospital by Afghan patients went up touching up 50% of both indoor and out patients.
The mid year review (2000) clearly shows that 15% to 20% of the patients both out door and indoor are Afghan Nationals.
