With the introduction of the Health and Medical Institution Reform act 1999, the management of the affairs of medical institutions has been vested in the Management Committee of the Institution. The Management Committee comprises of Eight members with Chief Executive as its Chairman. Following is the present composition of the Management Committee. Viz;
The Chief Executive of the Medical Institution Chairman
Principal of Khyber Medical College. Member
Principal Khyber College of Dentistry. Member
The Medical Superintendent of the KTH. Secretary
The Director Finance Deptt: Grants Committee. Member
Three nonofficial persons nominated by Govt. Member
There are certain sub committees constituted under the Management Committee for the discharge of function interested to the Management Committee.
The Chief Executive of the Khyber Teaching Hospital and allied Institutes has been entrusted the task of performing the functions under the Health and Medical Institution Reform Act 1999.
The Health and Medical Institutions Reform Act has created the Directorate of Finance for controlling the financial affairs of the Medical institution for sustainable growth under the autonomous set up. The Director Finance as member of the Institutional Management Committee covers all financial aspects of the Organization
The N.W.F.P Health and Medical Institutions Reform Act 1999 has reinforced the position of Principal Khyber Medical College while preserving status quo of the Post. The Principal Khyber Medical College is assisted by an Academic council
